Here is a system for keeping track of all of your children's chores so they can remember what they are meant to be doing and you can hold them accountable.  Based around chorecards, cardboard cards with pictures or instrucutions on it, and kept in a strong plastic holder which the child clips to their clothing, even children as young as 4 could become adept at completing jobs around the house.  Half of the book also includes an excellent description of the ethics of work and the benefits of children learning to work with a good attitude.
