With no fancy methods except the use of a good dictionary, this work-text leads students, in about 5 - 10 mins a day through all English words with either Greek or Latin roots.  First a Greek or Latin root is defined, then below are all the Englsih words using that root, with space for you to look up and copy in the meaning of the word.  Eventually you are able to define the root itself as well as its meaning.  This is a tried and tested method to excellent spelling skils and superb understanding of the English language, since over 70% of our English words come either from Greek or Latin, or from languages derived from Latin.   

The instructions for this course are very clear.  The author suggests only writing 1 - 2 new words a day for a 10 year old and up to 5 - 10 words for a 15 year old.   Ages 10 - 17 yrs/Gde 6 - 12
